Vintage RC

I have a few old kits, some MIB, some that were MIB, but I built them. And I have pics of old kits when they weren't old.

#1 RC10 Graphite

I own the very first RC10 Graphite ever made. And I have the proof!

All my RC kits

I've owned and still own quite a few RC kits. Here's a list of them all and a bit of info on each.

Traxxas Villain

See my Villain Page

The first video was filmed on the Columbia River in the summer of 1993.
The second and third videos were filmed on Wickiup Reservoir in central Oregon. The third video is pretty extreme. I didn't really want to run in storm conditions. It just happened. But it was fun as hell. My hull was split by the end of this video. It never ran again.

Tamiya TXT-1

This video was filmed in spring of 2004 around the Lapine Oregon area. It was our first efforts at making capable crawlers.

Associated RC10 B3

A few videos on this page were filmed at a friends place. We made the track you see. We never quite finished it for some reason.
The videos were taken with my Nikon 990 digital camera.

Associated RC10 GT

The top video was filmed in 1995 and was the 3rd heat of the region 11 regionals. I finished 3rd in the A main, which was run the next day. I filmed it but I doubt you want to see 45 minutes of it :)

Associated RC18T

I went and ran with some people I had never met and their track was teensy. The brushless/LiPoly combo in my little truck is stupid fast, as you can see.

Kyosho Outlaw Nitro Rampage

Filmed at Lents park in Portland, Or in 1993. The park was installing a sprinkler system and has dirt piles all over the place. This old truck got some pretty big air, especially considering it was powered by a .10

Losi JRX-T

I bought a built, but mint condition Losi JRX-T on eBay for old time's sake, but it just sat on the shelf. One day I decided to take it with me to the track. Not a long clip, but cool nonetheless. It is box stock (even the tires).

Kyosho Mini-Z

Kyosho Mini-Z's are good for scratching your RC itch in the Winter months. These videos show us bashing around in my garage on a track made with hoses taped to the floor. We had lots of track layouts, but the bottom video show my favorite.

Express Mini-X

Pretty much the same as above, except with a strange little car I saw on the Internet. Bigger than a Mini-Z by a little bit and it is 4WD. Extremely poor quality, but it handled pretty good!

Camcorder on XXT

I don't know exactly when this was filmed, but likely mid 90's. My Losi XXT was new, so that gives you some idea. I basically taped my 8mm camcorder to the top, put on stiff sway bars, and started recording.
